Good News!  the Federal Work Opportunity Tax Credit ("W.O.T.C.") program
has been extended again by Congress through 12-31-2025!

In short, the WOTC program provides generous tax credits of up to $9,600 to employers who hire individuals within certain hiring categories, such as those recently on government programs as Welfare (TANF) Food Stamps (SNAP), SSI, as well as unemployed veterans and more.  However, the paperwork, administration, accounting and filing process is extremely time consuming and complicated.

SmartChart-HR™ streamlines the process for employers to screen and select new hires who qualify for employer tax credit relied under WOTC.  Our proprietary software application assists in the screening process, and hands all of the heavy lifting over to us, allowing your HR Department to concentrate on interviewing, on-boarding and benefits.

Which employers are eligible for Federal and State New-Hire Tax Credit Programs?

All legal, for-profit entities in all 50 states may participate in the Work Opportunity Tax Credit (WOTC) program, as well as all individual State hiring Incentive programs (e.g. NY Youth Jobs, Jobs4Jersey, etc.).

There is NO minimum hiring requirement for any Federal or State programs that we participate in.

Individual states may, at their own discretion,  choose not to provide state-sponsored tax incentives to entities that are not in good standing.

Special State Hiring Incentive Programs

State-sponsored Hiring Incentive Grants & Tax Credit Programs

Many states provide extremely generous cash grants and "WOTC-match progtrams offering employers who agree to hire individuals that fall within specific categories, (e.g. individuals currently or recently enrolled in state welfare ("TANF"),  Food Stamps ("SNAP") or other benefit programs, unemployed veterans, adults aged 55+, Individuals with disabilities, and more).

Incentive grants are paid as direct payroll reimbursements to the employer, and can be as high as 100% of the employee wages for the first six months of employment!  However, the paperwork, administration, accounting and filing process to obtain these grants are extremely time consuming and complicated.
